Product Empties Fall 2016

Happy Friday! Is it me, or has this been the weirdest week? I don't think I would be 100% sure of what day it was if I hadn't scheduled this post in somewhat advance. Of my favorite post to read is always product empties, and I realized earlier this week that I haven't done one in about (two-ish?) years so it was about time to share an update of what I've tried and tested lately.

DevaCurl Deva towel // This was gifted to me when I first had my extensions put in and y'all, I'm not sure how I've lived so long without it. It's essentially a microfiber towel made for drying out your hair after a wash and it's literally the perfect size. I've found since I started using it regularly to towel dry my hair, I've had a significantly less amount of frizz than what I was used to after using a normal towel. One of my favorite features about it too is it comes with a tab to hang it after you're done using it, meaning no weird kinks in the fabric from normal bathroom hooks!

Urban Decay Naked Skin Beauty Balm // I picked this up over the summer on sale and I have to be honest, I didn't even get through the whole tube because I just really didn't like it. I really hope I was just using it wrong, because it was literally the most sheer BB cream I had ever tired. I think it would work well on your body if you were looking for a little shimmer, but I would strongly advise against trying it on your face.

Stila Stay All Day Liquid Eyeliner // 10/10 will definitely be a repurchase. I tend to exclusively use liquid liners, and this was definitely one of the best I've seen on the market. Right now I'm using the Kat Von Dee Liquid Eyeliner, but will definitely be picking this one up after that one dries out. They both are very easy to apply and don't budge once they're on.

Lancome CLS Booster XL Lash Primer // Another 10/10, I picked this up as a sample at Sephora a few months back and bought the full size a week later. I've been flirting with the idea of eyelash extensions for a while, and when I found this it seemed like a great alternative without all of the hassle that seems to come with that experience. I don't usually go for high-end mascara, but this one is definitely a must-have in my makeup bag.

Dove Detox & Purify Dry Shampoo // A while back, my friend at Seersucker Sass recommended the Dove Dry Shampoo and since then it's been my everyday go-to! Recently they came out with a few variations on the original and I had to pick up the Detox & Purify formula. While I definitely loved it, I'm currently working through the Volume & Fullness formula and I think I prefer that. While the Detox style definitely worked well as a dry shampoo, my hair some how feels a lot lighter with the Volume formula.

Batiste Dry Shampoo in Fresh // Another go-to if I need a dry shampoo in a pinch. Usually, I'll buy the Dove version over Batiste because it's A cheaper and B last longer, but I know I can always walk into a TJ Maxx anywhere and it will be on the shelf whereas Target tends to sell out of the Dove Dry Shampoo. Final verdict - works well, but not my first choice.

Drybar "Detox" Dry Shampoo // I picked up Drybar's travel kit a few months ago for a trip up to Michigan and it came with a sample size of their dry shampoo. I'm going to be honest here, I use a lot of dry shampoo and I was pleasantly surprised that the baby bottle went a lot further than I was expecting. I have to say out of all the dry shampoo I've used over the years, I think this one is my all time favorite. My only complaint with it is it's really expensive for dry shampoo, and I can't justify spending so much on something I'm constantly having to repurchase every two weeks or so. All in all, 10/10 but really pricy. Maybe Santa will send me a bottle this year?

Dove Dry Spray Antipersperant // The other day I had a conversation with one of my best friends (who also happened to have worked for Disney) about how working at Disney gives you the habit of needing to reapply deodorant multiple times a day. I'm going to apologize in advance guys, I'm realizing how TMI this is. It's not that you necessarily need to reapply, but you can't stand not having the clean feeling of after you reapply - I'm betting it stemmed from the whole working outside in central Florida thing though.
Anyways, I stumbled upon dry spray deodorant a while back and ever since I can't go back to any other form. The Dove formula's especially have such a light feeling that leaves me feeling clean all day long, but also do a great job at masking anything post 8-hour shift or multi-mile run. I've tried a few of the different scents now, including the cool cucumber (was not a fan of the scent purely because it reminded me of circa 2000 Bath and Body Works), soothing chamomile (which is amazing, and I've already repurchased a few times), and the beauty finish (my personal favorite).

Have you used any of these products? What were your thoughts? Let me know!
