Summer Lovin' ipsy Glam Box

If you follow me on Twitter (shameless plug here), you may have seen a while back I posted about how I finally joined ipsy and how excited I was to receive my first glam box. If you follow me on Snapchat (@pickyourbeau) you may have seen that it finally came yesterday as well as some of it's contents. Today I thought it would be fun to share with you all just what I received and an overall opinion of my first month with ipsy:

For starters everything came in this cute little chevron bag. I have to say I usually hoard bags like this (so handy for literally everything), so I love that a new style is provided each month!

BellaPierre Cosmetics Mineral Lipstick in P.I.N.K // This was the first thing I tried out and it's absolutely gorgeous with my skin tone, I always love playing with new lip colors so I'm super excited to try this one out.

'Tini Beauty Eyetini Swizzle Stick in Blue Hawaiian // Back in high school I had a friend who loved to wear bright blue eyeliner and the second I swatted this it instantly made me think of her. Though I will probably never use this considering it's an electric blue color, I was pretty impressed with how smoothly it applied. If bright eyeliners are your thing though you'd probably love this.

Tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Bronzer in Park Avenue Princess // Believe it or not I've never tried any tarte products, but I've heard phenomenal things about their Amazonian Clay so I am beyond excited to try this! Plus you know, waterproof anything is basically a must during the summertime.

Jersey Shore Cosmetics Mongongo Vanilla Coconut Cream Anti-aging Lip Conditioner // Talk about a mouth full. Basically a vanilla/coconut lip balm - I'm not normally a coconut person but it smells and taste pretty good.

Jor'el Parker Classico EDP // Smells pretty good and I love the little pocket sized roller ball design, I think this would be perfect to throw into a bag on a long busy day for touch ups.

All in all, definitely worth the $10 I spent. Oh and shipping is completely free - always a plus!

Have you tried ipsy or BirchBox? Let me know your thoughts!

Best,

  1. I have seen people unbox their ipsy boxes for so long and don't know why I still haven't gotten one. Everything is so cute! Love the makeup bag.

  2. I should really get an Ipsy bag, they look like a great piece of mail to get every month. The roller perfume looks great! I wish I had one to carry with me when I travel! It looks worth the $10!

    1. I know I think in the future it will be a nice little pick me up each month - plus they seem to work with some really great brands!

  3. I used to subscribe to Ipsy and did really love it, but just found it to be a little wasteful because I didn't care for a bunch of products and would just toss them out. It would be nice if you could select to receive them every other month instead of every month, just my thought though. Also Tarte's products are absolutely amazing and I'm so jealous that they included something after I canceled. Womp womp.

    1. My roommate said the same thing so I will definitely be playing it by ear, so far I really love it. If it makes you feel any better I wanted to try out the new Urban Decay Melted lip products they've featured the last two months and completely missed out on those :(

  7. Would definitely be using the blue eyeliner and lip conditioner (my lips always get so dry in the summer)! I haven't used ipsy but I keep seeing items I'd actually use so I may have to give it a try.

  8. I used to love Ipsy but had to unsubscribe because I started to have too much makeup.
I plan to resubscribe once I use up more of my makeup.
Jealous you got Tarte in yours!

    1. Aw I hate to hear that! I know they give you the chance to review all the products you received and retake your "style quiz", but as with most things I'm sure it's a lot of hit or miss. Thanks so much for reading Lauren!

  13. I have never tried a monthly box service before and I've been lusting after almost all of them. I think I'm going to start with Rocksbox just because I see myself getting more out of it than a beauty box. I always hoard beauty products (even when I don't use them) so I feel like if I received something I didn't want it would just go to waste!

    1. I would definitely try starting with something like ipsy because it's extremely affordable considering the products you'll receive. That way too you can set up a basic collection without spending too much!

  19. I had Birchbox for a while but then cancelled it because the samples were too small and not enough makeup but everything from this Ipsy bag looks totally try-able and wearable! I might have to give it a go!
